Gideon as the breeder and owner of these wonderful cows has a vested interest in the calves to be born, Elinor 13 has had heifer calves at every calving so far and if Elinor 14 was to do so this would be potentially the fifth generation VG or better. Elinor 14 is in calf to Nomar the calf is backed by 3 generations of Ex cows in America and will have a GMI of +450. A bull calf if selected for AI could/should have a much wider impact within the breed, but either bull or heifer will continue the progress that the breed is making.

whooooopie
i've been asking Digby for 7 yrs where the EGCS is hiding the 3+ generation VG cow families and finally they are starting to appear, let the bovine world ake note. It often takes a third party to look at herds impatially most of us get bogged down trying to fit a 30 hr day into 24 and know the kicker, high cell count, sexyest or uglyest one. GREAT herds are a bunch of individuals with in cow families, and if correctly identified will proove their worth in time, 5 related milkers at 84 points is far better than a one of EX90+ that appears from no where. Sorry Gideon i hope they all have bulls then we can all benefit from your efforts, it's great for you to be in a win win situation lets just hope the babies are alive. coxy
